Waffle Alley 와플앨리

We had travelled all the way to Anam-dong only to find that the cafe we had hoped to visit was closed. While roaming the streets in dismay, we came across a hidden gem - Waffle Alley.

Waffle Alley immediately struck us as a student-friendly cafe which targeted the students from the nearby Korea University. With dedicated booths, large spacious tables, absence of loud music and an abundance of power sockets, the cafe is a haven for students and digital nomads.

Along with its coffees (we had a cafe latte- W4,500 and a vanilla latte- W5,000) and gelatos, Waffle Alley also serves freshly made-to-order Belgium liege waffles. With each batch of waffles, the aroma that drifts through the cafe is indescribable.

After studying for more than half a day straight, we decided to have a waffle with dark chocolate gelato (W7,500) while having our break which turned out to be just as good as it smelt. The gelato was rich without being too sweet while the waffle was crisp and light.

Without a doubt, Waffle Alley was the best cafe we found in Korea to get work done.
